Last stop on our trip through Vietnam was Hoi An. This town is definitely one of the prettiest in Vietnam, with interesting architecture and colorful lanterns lining every street.

However, this was also the most crowded place we visited, hands down, especially in the evening. It was also much hotter than any other place we visited, meaning that early morning is definitely the best time to explore.

One of the most unique things to do in Hue is visi

One of the most unique things to do in Hue is visit the abandoned water park at Thuy Tien Lake. Although the dragon itself is a little creepy, the area actually incredibly beautiful and more than worth the effort to get here.

Entrance is free, but there are locals waiting by the road who expect you to buy a drink or rent a bike from them. This helps support cleanup of the area.

Rumor has it that this structure will be torn down soon, so if you want to see this place the time to go is now!

Hue is not on every traveler's Vietnam itinerary, but it ended up being one of our favorite cities of the trip. These photos are all from the Imperial City, which was once the home of Vietnam's emperors. This site is huge, and we spent over three hours wandering between the various structures admiring the architecture and the amazing mosaics!
